Playing with elephants, collecting butterfly wings, organizing French Lifestyle Fairs, and exploring the lush greens of an exotic hidden town….
The blades of green grass were velvet to the touch, viridescent as emerald and smelt of morning dew. It was a lovely break from the hustle and bustle of the city….
“But especially he loved to run in the dim twilight of the summer midnights, listening to the subdued and sleepy murmurs of the forest, reading signs and sounds as a man may read a book, and seeking for the mysterious something that called—called, waking or sleeping, at all times, for him to come.”
—Jack London, The Call of the Wild

Happy Birthday to me! My very on Parisian heartthrob bought me a new way to capture our memories…
Observing and (lightly) interacting with Asia’s gentle giants. Ethical tourism is SO important. In this elephant sanctuary, abused and retired elephants have a chance to live out their lives with love, respect and veterinary care. Be wary of parks where you can ride the elephants, or where they use bull hooks/ chains/ or break the spirits (the crush tradition) of these magical creatures…
The Asian elephant is endangered. Humans break their spirits in a terrifyingly cruel process called “the crush,” in which baby elephants are stolen from their mothers, blinded and tortured deep in the forest until they become obedient. This must stop! Enjoy observing them in an ethical setting, no riding, logging, or circus tricks. Save our world and watch the magic that happens when we show kindness and compassion….
Back to the grind…follow your passion! My French Literature Degree helped me organize the super chic French Lifestyle Fair here in Thailand! BISOUS!
XOXO, MOI.
Happy birthday! Have a blast!

Lovely post! Happy Birthday xx
I completely agree – Ethical tourism is important, rather than supporting places where animals are abused.
